Our library board is responsible for determining the purpose of the library and ensuring that it achieves what it is meant to achieve. They are powerful advocates for the library system. In general, the library board has a role in determining the mission of the library and setting the policies that govern the library. For specifics on the role of the library board, contact your local library.
The Jefferson County Library Board meets on the second Thursday every other month at 6:00 pm. The meetings will be held at one of the four libraries. The meeting place, date and time will be posted at the libraries two weeks prior to the meetings.
The library board reserves the right to change the meeting place, date and time due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Appropriate notices will be given.
